Elizabeth Moffett, LMHC

My mission is to assist every client process, change,

and regulate maladaptive to adaptive information in the brain.

Elizabeth is a Florida Board Certified Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She has worked in the South Florida areas as a Psychotherapist since 2005. She is a native Floridian and has worked in the Tri-County areas of Palm Beach, Broward, and Dade Counties. Elizabeth has counseled individuals, families, couples, and co-facilitated psychotherapy groups in counseling centers, addiction treatment centers, incarceration centers, rehabilitation centers, hospitals (in-patient units as well as outpatient programs), private homes, and private practice. Elizabeth prides herself in offering counseling to all individuals without any discrimination to race, gender, religion, age, or disability.

Elizabeth has attended and completed certification for training at The Center for Deployment Psychology headquartered at the Uniformed Services University of Health Services, which trains Military and Civilian Behavioral Health Professions to provide high-quality Deployment-related Behavioral Health services to Military Personnel and their families.

Elizabeth received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Paralegal Science from Eastern Kentucky University and her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University. Elizabeth is currently a member of the Southeast Brainspotting Institute, the American Association of Suicidology, Association of Traumatic Stress Specialists, Florida Suicide Prevention Coalition, International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, International Positive Psychology Association, National Alliance on Mental Illness, South Florida Association of Christian Counselors, and the Palm Beach County Substance Abuse Coalition.

Participation in volunteer organizations are a great part of Elizabeth’s life and desire to serve the underprivileged and less fortunate in. the South Florida area. Her volunteer work includes various Women’s Prison Ministries for over 13 years going into jails, prisons, and work release centers for the incarcerated throughout Broward and Palm Beach County, mentoring women upon release, facilitating psycho-educational addictions/mental health/life skills groups during her psychology internships, and the nursing home, homeless, and medical ministries through the churches she has attended.
